UNISPIN workshop: Designing a University Entrepreneurship Programme: Strategy and Practice
Following in the tradition of the annual UNISPIN workshop, the UNISPIN special interest section of TII (the European Association for the Transfer of Technology, Innovation and Industrial Information) is proud to present a new one-and-a-half day event on the theme of "Designing a University Entrepreneurship Programme: Strategy and Practice". It will be held on 24 and 25 October and is being hosted by the Dublin Institute of Technology at its Docklands Innovation Park in the city of Dublin. The event includes some novel features, including a master class held in two parts on strategic and practical issues of concern to the spin-off support community, and a hands-on workshop with local entrepreneurs to test Magnus Klofsten's Business Platform method of identifying the strengths and weakness of spin-off companies in their early development. A breakfast session is also offered in the company of Jill Felix, CEO of the University City Science Center in Philadelphia, the first and largest urban research park in the US. If your business is supporting academic entrepreneurship in one or more of its many facets, this exchange of good practice and know-how among European peers and counterparts will prove to be a rewarding and useful experience. A programme and registration form may be obtained from TII at tii@tii.org or by consulting the TII website at www.tii.org under EVENTS. ,TII - the European Association for the Transfer of Technologies, Innovation and Industrial Information - is one of the longest-standing, voluntary, independent associations representing the innovation support and technology transfer professions in Europe.
