"ENS 1992: RTD on transnational telematic systems for administrations"
This document describes R&D to be undertaken during the period January 1992 to December 1993 within the subprogramme on transnational telematic systems for administrations areas, also known as "European Nervous Systems/Administrations" (ENS). This subprogramme comprises Area 1 of the specific programme of research and technological development in the field of telematic systems in areas of general interest (1990-1994). The report presents: - The rationale, background and impact of transEuropean telematic systems for administrations; - ENS objectives and scope; - The implementation, engineering and verification concepts applied, addressing in detail the scope of RTD work to be undertaken; - Programme management and the mechanisms required to reach consensus; - Detailed information on individual projects (European Business Register, EWTIS, INCA, CARE, TECN, SOSENET, ENVIRONET, NORT, EIP, Certification Centre, RISE, SAPIENS), including objectives, technical approach, and expected achievements and impact (Annex A); - Supplementary project information, list of project contacts plus participating organizations (Annex B).
