Managing E-Business Risk: European Working Group Paris, 3 December 2002
Familiar instruments like insurance, auditing, laws and notaries, fire alarms, security services, and even internal employee policies are routinely accepted as best practice and used by most organisations to prevent losses. When it comes to doing e-Business, we have many new technologies, but we dont yet have the same instruments and best practices that provide the same level of trust and confidence in e-transactions. The ALPINE Working Group has been established as a network of experts from multiple disciplines to address the gaps, identify the solutions, and agree the best practices that will allow e-Business to be an integral part of every business. The objective is to work together to establish consensus on new policies, best practices, technologies, standards, and proposed regulations that will allow European organisations to better manage security and e-Business risks following proven and familiar paradigms. Join us on 3 December at Paris and participate in the first of a series of meetings and discussions addressing the important topics of: + Security Policy Management,+ Liability in Mobile Transactions,+ Trust Services Mapping Please see the attached invitation for more details and agenda.
