Rosetta - UK Media briefing - POSTPONED

The Media briefing scheduled for the 10.30am, Monday 6 January 2003 at the Natural History Museum has been postponed.

This is due to the current Inquiry board [named by Arianespace, the European Space Agency and France's CNES space agency] investigation into the anomaly observed during Flight 157 on 11th December and examination of the potential impact on preparations for the Rosetta launch. , ,The Inquiry board will submit its final report to Arianespace on Monday 6 January. As such it was felt premature to hold a media briefing until the outcome of the report is known, after which a decision on a new media briefing will be advised., ,Until then, the irreversible operations linked to Rosetta's launch have been suspended - which will result in a launch postponement of several days beyond the targeted date of Sunday 12th January., ,A new launch date will be announced on Saturday 11th January.,
