Contract Research Online Survey (CROS)

Approximately 45 UK Universities will run CROS surveys via the Web in February 2003.

The CROS projects allows institutions to create, deploy and analyse surveys via the Web. All institutions taking part can compare their results with any other project partners.
The survey has a common core of questions to capture the views of research staff on employment conditions, career apirations, development opportunities, training and communications. Institutions can add further, site-specifc questions if they wish.
A CROS survey was run successfully in 2002 when 17 UK universities took part.
The project is managed by the University of Bristol's Institute for Learning and Research Technology (ILRT) and Personnel Department. Funding comes from UK HE funding bodies.
