Launch of the Information System on Surface, Plasma and Vacuum Technology

Surface, plasma and vacuum technology are key technologies in modern industry. They play a crucial role in every priority of the Sixth Framework Programme. Nevertheless science and industry in this areas are rather fragmented. For potential users it is difficult to find suitable, qualified partners.

VDI The Association of Engineers has now launched a web driven database, offering detailed information on companies, institutes and universities working in these fields. The aim of this database is to build a strong network of research and application in order to foster co-operations on the European level. Furthermore cooperation partners for the projects within the Sixth Framework Programme like Integrated Projects or Networks of Excellence can be identified.
The search features allow the fast identification of institutions matching your search criteria down to the last detail. A guest login provides already an overview. The display of full research results is limited to the use of unique transaction numbers (TAN).
Every company, institution or university which is working in the field of surface, plasma and vacuum technology can be included in this database. Subscription and registration of profiles is free of charge and is rewarded with a number of TANs. Registration forms are available on the web page.
