Ethics as a Dimension of Agrifood Policy: EuSafe Congress 20-22 March 2003
Through a series of plenary lectures the theme will be approached at different levels: local, national/regional and global. The keynote speakers are prominent social scientists, philosophers and policy makers., ,On top of the plenary sessions there is a very rich programme of contributed papers. 64 paper have been selected, covering the following subjects: Animal Bioethics, Plant Genomics and Ethics, Ethics and Public Debate, Ethics of Food Chains, Property Rights, Precautionary Principle, From Consumer attitude to Consumption Policies, Ethics relating to International Trade and Public Policies, Ethical Tools., ,Furthermore the conference offers you the opportunity to participate in workshop covering the following subjects: Teaching bioethics, Economy and ethics and Creativity in ethics., ,By addressing economic and technical developments in the agrifood sector from various ethical perspectives and in relation to policy within Europe and internationally, the congress may contribute to developing the agenda for future agrifood policies, and to identifying the relevance and scope of ethical considerations as a dimension of these policies. * Notice that the conference starts in the Morning of Thursday March 20. Therefore you will need to arrive on Wednesday where there will also be a welcome party.
