Energy database ENTEC now available in the web at a flat rate
Karlsruhe, March 2003 FIZ Karlsruhes information service is now offering the energy database ENTEC in the web at an annual flat rate of 535.00 Euro for the industry and service enterprises, resp. 500.00 Euro for universities and colleges. ENTEC can be accessed via http://entec.fiz-karlsruhe.de(opens in new window) or through the FIZ Karlsruhe homepage. A free demo database providing limited search results is also available. Jointly produced by FIZ Karlsruhe and FIZ Technik, Frankfurt/Main, Germany, ENTEC contains, among others, information on fossil sources of energy, nuclear energy, energy fusion and renewable energy sources. Further subjects covered by ENTEC are research and application matters as well as energy policy and energy management. At present, the data pool comprises approx. 650,000 citations. Every year approx. 20,000 new documents are added. ENTEC features a powerful search software with a user-friendly interface allowing a well directed search for information also to those unfamiliar with search techniques.,The search can be conducted either by using a quick search mask or an expert search mask offering a vast number of search criteria. As a first search result the database provides a list of titles which then lead to abstracts with bibliographical data. Full-text publications on the searched subjects can be ordered online, either through the direct ordering service FIZ Autodoc at http://www.fiz-karlsruhe.de/autodoc(opens in new window) or through Getinfo, (http://www.getinfo-doc.de(opens in new window)) a web service for full-text supply of sci-tech literature. Getinfo is a joint-venture of FIZ Karlsruhe and Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover. Parallel to the flat-rate offer in the web, ENTEC is also available via STN International at its general conditions.
