This annual high-level encounter enables participants to pit themselves against their peers within a context favouring shared experience. Participation in EUROWARDS offers the opportunity to build up contacts and to strengthen links with strategic partners in preferential circumstances. Over the 11 years it has been in existence, EUROWARDS has established itself as the indisputable benchmark for enterprise promotion in Europe. The competition is divided into four categories (Encouragement, Seed, Start-up, Expansion). It is aimed at different corporate profiles and selection takes place in 3 stages: regional/ national1, and finally European. Encouragement,This category is aimed at all those who have a relatively well-developed idea (the product/service, its competitive positioning, its potential profitability), and enables them to test their idea and make it known among bodies involved in assisting the creation of companies, and finally to benefit from the media spin-offs from the competition. Seed,This is for all those who have a formalised project, already tested on the market (from 1 to 5 clients or a minimum of financing already assured and a business plan over 3 years). The project must have been in existence for less than two years and be addressed to several partners. These companies will have the opportunity to establish contacts with business angels and investment partners, and to take advantage of Gate2Growth services as well as media spin-offs. Start-up,This category is for any company which offers a product/service that has already been sold to at least 5 customers or which has at least 5 employees or an annual turnover of more than 250,000 . The company selected, which will thus be able to make itself known to business angels and to take advantage of Gate2Growth services. It will have the benefit of media spin-offs and can foster contacts with investment partners. Expansion ,This category is intended for any company the activity of which has been profitable or balanced over a period of more than one year and the annual turnover of which is more than 500,000 . It can benefit from EUROWARDS networking, to create links with Venture Capitalists, to gain renown at a regional, national and European level and take advantage of media spin-offs. Applications have been assessed on the basis of selection criteria such as viability and the companys growth potential, originality, presentation and European potential.
