GeoConcept Dispatcher 2.0 brings new levels of performance and functionality to routing optimization

New version provides a development kit for customization,GEO CONCEPT SA, European leader in geographic information systems (GIS) today announced a major new version of GeoConcept Dispatcher, its vehicle routing, scheduling, and dispatching solution for field services and mobile sales forces.

GeoConcept Dispatcher is a tool for routing optimization. It is used to manage several routes at the same time, whatever the route type (sales, deliveries, and maintenance). The tool uses GEO CONCEPT SA's expertise in processing geographic data and combines it with the specified data constraints of each company. These include:,- inbound and outbound shipments,,- compatibility (truck/terminal, truck/product),,- time constraints (hours of service, breaks, client availability),,- vehicle type (diesel, petrol, refrigerated),,- truck capacity (all sizes) Users can export the results in XML using conventional computer systems and also mobile tools such as PDAs. GeoConcept Dispatcher pays for itself almost immediately in the mileage it saves. Existing functions are faster (speed, display quality, user-friendliness and ease of use) and performance is improved tenfold: GeoConcept Dispatcher finds routes ten times faster than before. Additional functions provide a comprehensive solution to the daily requirements of all business types. These include: - Improved management of variable work patterns (flexible break management - e.g. one hour lunch break between 12 and 3pm - and overtime).,- A wider range of real life simulations of customer relationships, these take into account the geographical base of the salesperson or technician.,- Multiple depot optimization allocates the routes efficiently across all depots. The development kit for advanced users is new to the GeoConcept Dispatcher range. It allows integrators to interface GeoConcept Dispatcher with their existing IT systems simply and fine-tune the optimization accurately. GeoConcept Dispatcher is designed to take into account the unique individual requirements of each company or enterprise faced with complex route organization using detailed configuration functions. This new version extends GEO CONCEPT's market position in logistics optimization. GeoConcept Dispatcher is designed to interface easily with the GeoConcept product range, and particularly with vertical applications such as geomarketing and call centers, to create efficient and profitable vertical solutions. "GeoConcept Dispatcher is a perfect example of how intelligent processing of geographical data combined with data on the daily business needs of our clients brings immediate benefits in terms of efficiency and return on investment," said Eric Lanzi, President of GEO CONCEPT SA.About GEO CONCEPT SA (http://www.geoconcept.com),GEO CONCEPT SA designs, develops and markets map-processing software and systems.
