Altran Foundation Award 2005
With a cross-disciplinary 2005 Award, the Altran Foundation for Innovation will reward innovations that facilitate inclusion of the greatest number of people in our society. The Foundation prize is awarded in a different category each year to researchers, research teams or project managers, for a technological innovation on a specific theme. Projects have been awarded in the past in the following areas: memory and heritage pain and physical handicap, water quality and water access, food quality and safety, improving living conditions in urban areas or early childhood. The Altran Foundation Award is innovative: one year of technological advice offered by Altran, under the form of personalised assistance for the winning project or projects, for a total value of 1.000.000 EUR. The Altran Foundation for Innovation works through calls for applications. Each year in October, the Foundation launches a call for projects to researchers, research teams or project managers involved in the thematic chosen. Candidates will have to demonstrate the innovative nature of their project or concept, either in terms of the technology or ideas used and in cases where the technology or the concept has already proven its worth, the manner in which it is used. The international jury is composed of experts from the various fields related to the theme and is independent from Altran.
