The Commission issues a restricted procedure invitation to tender, in the context of the EUROMANAGEMENT project, regarding the supply of advisory services to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) on the topics of standardization, certification, quality and safety. Two Actions are involved. Expressions of interest must be for Action I or Action II only. Detailed tender specifications will be forwarded to all interested parties. - Action I: Some 40 to 50 consultants or councillors in the Member States will be selected to undertake assessments, in 10 to 15 SMEs, of their problems, needs and necessary actions in the field of standardization, certification, quality and safety. This project will support the services of technical experts and/or councillors to SMEs in all regions of the Community. - Action II: Coordination of the standardization and certification assessments. The coordinator will be required to develop a methodology, train the consultants chosen (seminar plus training manual) and manage and run the pilot scheme. He will also report on progress and final results. Expressions of interest, by registered letter, should be sent to: Commission of the European Communities DG XXIII, Unit B.3 Attn. Mrs. B. Soudier, Office 4/42 rue d'Arlon 80 B-1040 Brussels
