Help environmental SMEs submitting FP6 proposals

SME ENVIRONMENT offers free professional training, free consulting services and provides useful information on EC project development and management for FP6. Our target group are SMEs active in the field of energy and environment and based in one of the New Member States or Cadidate Countries.

The growth and success of Europe's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) active in the field of environmental engineering is fundamental to its long-term prosperity. To innovate and internationalise, an increasing number of SMEs should participate in European research projects, especially from the New Member States and the Candidate Countries. In order to help the preparation of the SMEs in these countries and boost their participation in the FP6 - the Community Programme for Research and Technological Development - the European Commission supports initiatives such as the SME Environment project. In the frame of SME Environment project SMEs gain assistance to take part in European projects, build international relationships and implement their strategic scopes. There will be limited number of project proposals developed with the help of professional project developers and managers for free of charge! SME Environment services: - Providing practical information on the FP6 programme and related policies (static data-bases, useful links, help desk) - Information on actual FP6 calls and deadlines - E-learning courses on proposal writing and project management, how to write proposals under the 6th Framework Programme (based on successful EU projects and with many practical information) The course was launched on 9 January. Participants can register continuously by sending a letter to or registering to SME Environment database on - Partner search functions with direct links to FP6 search engines - Static and interactive consulting services for SMEs in all fields related to the development of FP6 projects - Specific functions and tools to promote the participation of women and other special target groups under FP6.
