EURES project for labour market data exchange
The Commission of the European Communities gives notice of a restricted invitation to tender for the realization of the EURES project on data exchange concerning the labour market. EURES is an information network for the diffusion throughout the Community of data on vacancies, applications and general information, such as living and working conditions, and is a tool for the specialist Euro-advisers appointed by each Public Employment Service. Components of the system shall include: A centralized information and communications server; a front-end national server to provide connections to the existing systems of the national partners; a European communications network; a centralized database for vacancies and applications; Euro-adviser workstations; ancillary databases of labour market information. The successful tenderer will provide, install and maintain hardware components, provide, install and maintain basic and application software, define and ensure the interaction of the national server with existing national systems, advise and assist the national partners of the network in making necessary changes to their existing systems, set up a centralized database of vacancies and applications, establish a communications network, provide user documentation and training material, provide operational network and system management, provide access to external databases, assist in setting up auxiliary databases, and assist the national partners and the Commission in promoting EURES.
