EUROPARTENARIAT Portugal 1995
The EUROPARTENARIAT programme was launched by the European Commission in 1987 as part of its regional and enterprise policies. It was designed to stimulate the development of less-favoured regions by encouraging small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to establish business relationships with their counterparts in other regions.
Within this context, representatives from SMEs are invited, twice a year, to attend a two-day event during which they have the opportunity to meet with potential business partners from host regions selected by the Commission.
The first three EUROPARTENARIAT events were held in 1988, 1989 and 1990 in Ireland, Spain and Wales respectively. These were so successful that the Commission decided to increase the number of events to two per year.
EUROPARTENARIAT Portugal 1995 is the thirteenth event in the series. The event catalogue, containing company profiles of the 406 Portuguese companies participating in the event, including information on the type of cooperation desired, is now available and may be obtained from either the European Commission or from the Europartenariat national counsellors in each country.
