CeBIT HOME Electronics: Multimedia trade fair for the home user

An international multimedia trade fair aimed at the home user, CeBIT HOME Electronics, will take place in Hanover, Germany, from 28 August to 1 September 1996.

The fair will present a complete overview of the latest developments and applications in information technology, communications technology and consumer electronics, all specifically integrated and developed for home use.

In particular, the following sectors will be represented:

- Information technology;
- Network computing and local networks;
- Software;
- Services and online services;
- Telecommunications;
- Consumer electronics;
- Media and publishers;
- Home automation and security equipment.

There will also be a series of special presentations, including "Chancen 2000 Interactive" on the information society, "Game City", "Music" (open air, rave and classical), CeBIT HOME on Tour, and Learning World 2000.

The EUREKA programme for cooperation between European firms and research institutes in the field of advanced technologies will be present at the fair.
