Remote Sensing in Transition
EARSeL groups approximately 250 institutes throughout Europe specialising in research and applications of remote sensing techniques in all fields where it is proving to be an invaluable tool, such as natural hazard monitoring, agriculture, coastal zone management, cartography, etc. Its activities are channelled through Special Interest Groups that organise regularly high-level workshops on topics at the cutting edge of research, such as factors contributing to global warming or monitoring the environment and sustainable development in developing countries.
