Medilink's inaugural medical technology exhibition will be held in York, United Kingdom, on 18 June 1998. The event is organized by the Innovation Relay Centre (IRC) for the North of England, and is supported by various local and central government departments in the UK.
The main objective of the event will be to support the commercialization of new medical products and technologies. It will also serve to raise the profile of the region's clinical research and industrial strengths in the medical technology field.
The event will also provide the opportunity for universities to demonstrate leading edge technologies and specific research projects, hospitals to promote their services and centres of excellence, and for innovative medical companies to show their capabilities in the field.
The seminar programme will provide expert advice on licensing, the international regulatory system and product development. The exhibition will give exhibitors the chance to discuss their work with purchasing and commercial managers, potential research and development partners, venture capitalists, distributors and other professionals in the field.
