EU funding for research and development - Industry Information Day

An Industry Information Day on EU funding for research and development under the Fifth Framework Programme will be held in Plymouth, United Kingdom, on 27 April 1998. The aim of the event is to ensure that companies located in the South-West of England are ready to take advantage of the grant funding opportunities that will be available once the Fifth Framework Programme enters into force.

The event is organized by Business Location Services Ltd, a local organization, and Bournemouth and Poole College of Further Education, with support from local and central government and the University of Plymouth. This event is seen as particularly relevant to this region, given the fact that a high proportion of the workforce are engaged in R&D activities.

Participants in the event will be addressed by representatives from local and central government, local universities and Mr. Robin Teverson, Member of the European Parliament. The following topics will be covered:
