IS&N'98 - Fifth International Conference on Intelligence in Services and Networks

The fifth International Conference on Intelligence in Services and Networks will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 25 to 28 May 1998. The conference, supported by the EU's specific RTD programme in the field of Advanced Communications Technologies and Services (ACTS), will focus on the theme "Technology for Ubiquitous Telecom Services".

The conference will provide a forum for the discussion of issues and the exchange of technical results relating to design, engineering and experiments in advanced communications services. Panel sessions will debate issues in the area of future network management systems and advanced services. Other key features include the annual EURESCOM workshop, providing an opportunity for technical discussions and the opportunity for project and commercial demonstrations.

Specific topics to be addressed at the conference will include:

- Open distributed platforms for communication services;
- Human machine interfaces;
- Electronic commerce;
- New trends in multimedia and mobile services;
- Safety, security and integrity of services and systems.
