European seminar on eco-friendly packaging - Valencia, Spain, 23rd & 24th April

This event examines biodegradable and recyclable food and beverage packaging in Europe. A set of four half-day seminars will explore the state-of-the-art of the technology, give an overview of European research activities, present specific research projects and assess the effect of EU legislation on the adoption of eco-friendly packaging.

23 April 2003 - 24 April 2003

The seminars are aimed at all those involved in the field of eco-friendly packaging: researchers, manufacturers, end users and any others interested in the topic. The organisers are leaders in the field and include AINIA (Instituto Tecnológico Agroalimentario, Spain), KVL (Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, Denmark) and SIK (Swedish Institute for Food & Biotechnology).
These seminars are part of two wider EU projects working in this area of science. EcoPac (http://www.eco-pac.com(opens in new window)) and PackTech (http://www.pack-tech.org(opens in new window)) are both thematic networks that focus on different aspects of these related technologies. The speakers at this set of seminars come from the members of the two networks, external companies and the EC itself.
