... is the title of TII's annual conference which will take place in Vienna from 23 to 25 April 2003. The programme offers a variety of interesting sessions, including a training workshop on the commercial evaluation of new technologies, company visits, high-level presentations from the worlds of policy, academia, interface organisations and industry, working groups and a panel discussion.
23 April 2003 - 25 April 2003
As funding schemes which govern Technology Transfer (TT) organisations, both in the research-industry and the SME support sector, become increasingly linked to performance indicators and measurable results, interface structures and intermediaries are confronted with the need to achieve ever greater operating efficiency and higher quality of service. TII's 2003 annual conference will look at current trends in innovation support excellence and how TT organisations are coping with the need to office value-added services to customers, to devise alternative income streams and to adapt in general to the needs of the science base and industry to commercialise new and better technology. The conference will also present a showcase of good practice by a number of American technology transfer organisations and is structured to encourage an exchange of experience between European and American delegates. The key-note address will be given by Erkko Autio, Professor of Technology-based Venturing at the Helsinki University of Technology and one of the authors of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM).,A full programme can be downloaded from the Association's website at
