ETF Conference "European Transport Safety at Stake"

The European Transport Forum (ETF) is holding a conference entitled European Transport Safety at Stake? on 7 May, 2003 in Brussels. This conference is a one day comprehensive discussion on transport safety in all the modes: road, rail, air, and maritime.

7 May 2003

Transport is undergoing important changes linked to the emergence of sustainable development preoccupations. Of these, safety must surely rate as one of the main concerns to be addressed by modern economies. Under their many guises - the Prestige oil spill, headline-,making plane accidents or the fatalities taking place on European roads every day the human and economic consequences of transport accidents all point to the need for a coordinated response and innovated approaches to European Transport Safety.
This conference is a unique opportunity to offer transport decision makers and stakeholders to participate in high-level exchanges and profit from a comprehensive discussion on European transport safety issues and trends in all transport modes (ie, road, rail, air, and maritime).
It will take place at the Residence Palace, Rue de la Loi 155 - B-1040 Brussels. The deadline for registration is May 3, 2003.
