European Summer University: "Innovation and Business Intelligence"

In July 2002, Cherbourg School of Engineering (EIC) organised with the support of ADIT and CORDIS the first European Summer University about < Innovation and Business Intelligence >. Students from 12 different nationalities participated in this edition to validate 5 ECTS Credits and to receive an official Placement Certificate for the training course.

28 June 2003
France
From 28th of June until 18th of July 2003, EIC expects more than 50 students since it succeeded again in receiving the official Seal of Approval by the French Ministry of Education. This bigger event will also open its doors to the industrial market by a pass-conferences system which costs 100 and allows the companies to send one or more of their representatives to the conferences of their choice (1).
The objective of this European Summer University is to increase the awareness of the students about the importance of innovation in our economy, as well as about the role that business intelligence plays in a company as the catalyst of innovation, and to allow them to identify the tools and methods needed to set up a system for the preparatory phase. Courses will be taught in English and French according to the nationality of the lecturer. Working documents and Powerpoint presentations will be proposed in English by all the lecturers. The European Summer University will also be integrated into a particularly rich cultural framework during this month of July 2003. Events are organised around the culture of different European regions that will take place in different historic sites of the department of La Manche.
For the 3-week period, the registration cost for the tuition is 300 but EIC offers to the students accommodation, breakfasts and lunches, local transportation, excursions to the technical and cultural visits and the practice of various nautical activities. The registration will be definitive on reception of the registration form and of the full payment of the sessions fees. A registration certificate will be sent by mail to each participant.
