1st International Symposium on Nanotechnology in Construction
The Symposium is the first ever to deal with the combined topics of nanotechnology and construction. It will bring together people, companies and organisations with an interest in the application, investment and exploitation of nanotechnology in construction and those who are already conducting research in this field. The event aims to:
- Identify areas of the greatest potential for further applications, investment and exploitation of nanotechnology in the construction industry. ,- Review achievements and current research & development in nanotechnology in construction, and in related areas of science & technology.,- Describe the latest techniques, instrumentation and models of nanotechnology relevant to construction materials, systems and processes.
The Symposium programme will be structured to cover, on the first day, the evaluation of research development and investment opportunities for a broad range of stakeholders, from R&D financiers to strategic research planners. This will be followed on the second and third day by presentations of both practical applications achieved using a nanotechnology-based approach and a review of current active worldwide research.
An Exhibition of state-of-the-art instrumentation now available for nanotechnology-assisted research, including an exposition of practical results of commercialisation of such developments, will be held concurrently with the Symposium.
