Supporting program of activities,Apart from the Innovations Forum (exhibitor and product presentations) as well as conferences, workshops and symposia (e.g. on stem cell research, nutrigenome research and nano-biotechnology), BIOTECHNICA will once again boast a number of special events such as BIO-JOB (organized by the German Department of Employment) and BIO-PARTNER (an international biotechnology contact exchange organized by Wörner & Partner Consulting GmbH, Vaterstetten).
Special presentation on microsystems and bio-systems technology,In Hall 2 a number of international market leaders will present miniaturized systems for handling and measuring minute amounts of fluid, e.g. micro-pumps and other micro-fluid systems, micro titre plates and biochips for mass spectroscopy. This array of products will be complemented by an accompanying forum of lectures in the conference area of Hall 1.
EUROPEAN BIOTECHNICA AWARD,BIOTECHNICA 2003 will see the first presentation of the EUROPEAN BIOTECHNICA AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN BIOTECH BUSINESS. The competition is the brainchild of Deutsche Messe AG in co-operation with BIOCOM AG, Berlin, Cap Gemini Ernst und Young, Stuttgart, DIB Deutsche Industrievereinigung Biotechnologie, Frankfurt, DZ-Bank, Frankfurt, and F.A.Z.-Institut Frankfurt.
Further information and the full details announcing the competition can be found under: www.biotechnica-award.de.
Pilot project: The benefits of online registration for visitors,BIOTECHNICA 2003 will also see the introduction of a new system for visitor registration at the Hannover Exhibition Center. This pilot project was prompted by requests from the exhibitors for more data and information on the make-up of the professional audience at BIOTECHNICA in order to facilitate the establishment of business contacts and help maximize on the shows lead-generation potential for exhibitors and attendees alike. Visitors who register on the basis of this system will benefit from reduced admission charges (for both single-day and three-day tickets) if the registration is made by Internet (http://www.biotechnica.de(opens in new window)) prior to the event.
Registration before the event not only means that visitors can save time and money. Those who register early will also receive BIOTECHNICA News (a bulletin and news update that appears shortly before the trade fair), plus a trade fair planner for personal data administration and admission to the Visitors Lounge, including use of the Internet all free of charge!
The official opening ceremony for BIOTECHNICA will take place the evening of 6 October 2003, which is the evening before the show opens its gates.,
