EU Workshop: Ecosites, EcoCentres and the implementation of EU environment and sustainable development policies. Organised within the EU-funded (5thFP EESD accompanying measure) ECOLINK programme.
Place: Ecosite du Pays de Thau, Mèze http://www.ecosite.fr/ (on the Mediterranean Coast, France)
Objectives:,- to review the role of Ecosites & Ecocentres in the implementation of European Union policies in the field of environment, sustainable development & research,- to assess and discuss the impact of European Union policies at local level,- to identify possible cooperation frameworks.
Target audience:,- Professionals participating in Ecosites, Ecocentres or sustainable development activities at local level and Non Govrnmental Organisations, ,- Decision-makers at local and regional levels,- Researchers from public & private organisations,- European Union institutions staff active in sustainable development issues.
Number of participants: Maximum 80
