Celebrating British Excellence in Space - British Festival of Space
The Conference is aimed at professionals working in the space sector and representatives interested in building links in the field. Participants include decision makers, researchers, industry members and people with a general interest in the field. For those already involved in Space, the Festival offers debate sessions on key issues such as the future of remote sensing and how the space community can benefit from a higher public profile. For those interested in developing links with the space industry or finding out more about it, the conference has a programme of presentations and mission showcases that give an overview of the UK's current interests and areas of excellence. For everyone attending, this is a unique networking opportunity.
The Festival is sponsored by BNSC, PPARC, the University of Surrey, QinetiQ and Astrium. Speakers include Colin Hicks, Director General of BNSC, Mike Healy, Director of Earth Observation at Astrium, Alan Haskell, Managing Director of Space at QineitQ, and Professor John Harries from Imperial College London.
