15 September 2003 - 19 September 2003

A self-contained training workshop is offered on each of the five days on a specialist theme relating to innovation support and technology transfer. The programme will be delivered by an international team of 8 trainers, who have the distinction of being experienced practitioners in their particular field. The themes covered this year include, ,- intellectual asset management in companies and research organisations,- assessing commercial potential in early-stage new technologies,- marketing scientific results and services,- entrepreneurship and incubation,- systematic innovation and new product development, ,There are a number of new features in the 2003 summer school programme. First, participants are being offered the possibility to register for any number of days and there is no obligation to attend on all five days. A list of prices is available on the registration form. Second, we are holding a special meeting of the TII Quality Net subgroup on 18 and 19 September, in parallel with the summer school course. This meeting is open to all people interested in sharing experience on operating efficiency and standards in technology transfer organisations, and participation is in no way restricted to TII members who have already taken part in a Quality Net activity., ,Course prices start at 1,495 euro for TII members - includes 5 days tuition and accommodation for 7 nights - and special discounts are available until 22 August., ,Evaluations from the previous two summer schools have been overwhelmingly positive and enthusiastic, not just in terms of the quality of the training, but also with respect to the opportunities for networking and experience exchange. If you are interested in acquiring new skills or methodologies and meeting other professionals from Europe's dynamic innovation support and technology transfer community, book the third week of September in your diary and come and join us in Portugal.
