Electronic Commerce Europe 1998

The eleventh annual conference and exhibition of the European Electronic Messaging Association (EEMA) will take place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, from 3 to 5 June 1998.

Electronic Commerce Europe 1998 provides a forum for both corporate users and service providers to gain an insight into the fundamentals of the industry, to broaden their knowledge base and to introduce new concepts, strategies and technologies to their businesses. The following topics will be covered:

- Certification;
- Data mining;
- Data warehousing directories;
- Messaging electronic commerce;
- Emerging technologies groupware;
- Impact of the year 2000;
- Integration of business processes;
- Multimedia security;
- Cashless payment systems;
- SME challenges;
- Web transactions.

An exhibition on products and services will be held in conjunction with the conference. This will offer conference delegates the opportunity to see the state of business and personal electronic communications in Europe. It will include an exhibition on the EU's RTD programme in the field of Information Technologies (ESPRIT). The event will also feature the announcement of winners of awards for achievement in electronic commerce, organized by EEMA and Communications Week International.
