MATERIALICA 1998, the first international trade fair for innovative materials, processes and applications, will take place in Munich, Germany, from 12 to 15 October 1998.

The fair will present key technologies in a wide range of applications. Groups of materials, manufacturing processes, measurement and testing technology, quality and reliability strategies, and simulation technology will be on display during the exhibition, while innovative developments for each stage of production will be shown. The EU's RTD programme in the field of Industrial Materials and Technologies (BRITE/EURAM) will have a stand in the exhibition, at which developments in materials technologies funded by the programme will be highlighted.

The event is aimed at manufacturing and processing firms, users and service-providers in different sectors. In parallel to the exhibition, the scientific congress, WERKSTOFFWOCHE, will allow wider discussion of the latest developments in materials technologies.
