A EUREKA brokerage event on airport technologies will be held in Oslo, Norway, on 4 and 5 June 1998. This event is part of the Airport'98 international conference on the planning and construction of Norway's new main airport at Gardermoen, due to open in late 1998.

EUREKA is a European R&D initiative to facilitate joint projects between companies and research institutions across Europe. Its main objective is to enhance the productivity and competitiveness of European industry through market-oriented, collaborative research and development. Brokerage events aim to provide the participants with an opportunity to establish new contacts, in order to facilitate the formulation of new projects.

This event will focus on technologies related to the operation of airports and environmental aspects of airports. It will cover the following topics:

- Air navigation systems;
- Systems for airport information and control;
- Environmental technology for protecting the surrounding area.
