OBJECTIVE: ,One of the tasks of staff working at the interface between science and industry is to identify and leverage competitive research and technology strengths that translate into benefits valued by industry. This one-day workshop will help participants to find and capture new business opportunities and develop durable and mutually beneficial relationships with new and existing clients.
TARGET AUDIENCE: ,The workshop is designed for business development, technology transfer, research and research support staff in R&D laboratories, technology centres, universities, knowledge-based companies and innovation agencies.,It is suitable for people with no marketing background, as well as for people with a good grasp of marketing fundamentals who wish to apply them specifically to the needs and constraints of research and technology-based organisations.

TRAINER: ,The one-day workshop is conducted byJudy Marcure, Director of Calibre Communications. Judy is an experienced workshop facilitator for R&D organisations and associations of innovation management and technology transfer professionals. She has a Master's degree in marketing, with a focus on research and technology marketing, as well as a Master's in the history and philosophy of science. Her professional experience has led her to work with R&D laboratories and universities across 4 continents and to assist clients in industrial sectors such as food, IT, packaging and transport to plan for success. Judy is founding editor of R&D Enterprise: Asia Pacific, a prestigious international journal on innovation and technology management and co-author, with Bruce Davies, of Marketing scientific results and services: a toolkit.
