Maritime Conference - Putting Research Results into Operation

Herewith the SANDWICH consortium would like to invite you to a workshop jointly organised with the consortia of ECOPAINT, CRASHCOASTER and BONDSHIP. We will present to you some of the main results of these projects and would like to discuss with you about applying these results in Ship Production Processes.
The presentations will start at 09:00 and will cover results of the EU funded research projects:
SANDWICH - advanced composite sandwich steel structures ,ECOPAINT - environmentally friendly and effective coatings for ships ,CRASHCOASTER - crash resistant side structures of coasters and RO/RO ships. ,BONDSHIP - bonding of lightweight materials for cost effective production of high speed craft and passenger ships
The presenters will focus on the project findings and their application. An outlook on further research in the areas concerned will be given. Part of the event is a walk through the SANDWICH production facilities (I-Core Halle, Meyer Werft). On display are also: a crashed Xtype sandwich section, the BONDSHIP mock up, VOC Manager Software and the SANDWICH Design Tool. The event is planned to be finished by 17:00.
The Conference is planned to be held at the premises of Hotel Alte Werft. ,Conference fee is included in the room fee of EUR 115 ,Conference participants not staying at the hotel "Alte Werft" will have to pay EUR 50 at the reception desk. ,Conference fee is covering lunch and coffee breaks as well as an information package.
A detailed agenda is planned to be published by end of September.
