Designing work spaces of the future - international Knowledge Management conference - Brussels, October 16th 2003

The conference focuses on workplace design and the use of large screens for comunity building and organisational knowledge management, and in particular the KM solution MILK using interactive large screens that support informal keeping in touch and knowledge sharing among organisational members.

16 October 2003

MILK follows a new approach to knowledge management by focusing on supporting informal processes of knowledge sharing which are badly supported by existing systems. The interactive large screens tested so far have shown a noteworthy raise of corporate awareness of what goes on and who knows what in the company. Informal communication is recognized as an essential driver for organizational innovation and effectiveness and the issue is therefore of utterly relevance for enterprises operating in the knowledge economy.
The conference features welknown international speakers on the design of work and work space, the interaction with intelligent artifacts, organisational knowledge management and comunity building.
The event is hosted by the European Commission. Participation is free and will be confirmed after registration on the MILK web site (http://www.milkforum.com/htm/event.htm(opens in new window)). All presentations will be done in English.
