Training Course on Successful Presentations

Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe offers in cooperation with EARMA a training course on Successful Presentations. The event will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, from 1-2 December 2003.

The presentation skills course delivers the theoretical background for successful presentations at international conferences or meetings and in front of smaller groups of people by showing the key principles. It also gives substantial support to achieve the goals by practising presentations. There will be a strong focus on individual feedback. The intercultural aspect will be included as participants come from different European member states.
The aim of this course is to optimise the different stages of a presentation and to gain more confidence when presenting in English to different audiences.
Topics of the course are,- Designing a plan of the presentations preparation ,- Appreciating the importance of structure,- Identifying helpful & unhelpful body language,- Demonstrating the use of a variety of visual aids including multi-media technology,- Considering intercultural aspects for international audiences,- Delivering effective presentations

The course fee includes handouts, beverages and dinner. Participants are asked to pay the hotel bill on their own (70,00 EUR per night - bed/breakfast and garage).
Course tutors:,Steven Ward is comes from Swindon, England. He is a training professional, with extensive experience in the design and delivery of training to scientific, engineering and administrative staff at all levels. He has delivered many training courses to the Civil Service College and other organisations in England and has cooperated with EARMA on an international level for a number of years., ,Rudolf Woeste is Division Head of In-house Training at the Forschungszentrums training centre. He also is well experienced in delivering management training courses to an interna-tional audience. He lived in England for a longer period and his long experience is based on different jobs in education, personnel and management development in a R&D-environment.
