Renewable Energy Trade Mission to South Australia
South Australia's positive Economic and Political climate will be of major interest to the visiting businesses as they gauge the potential benefits of setting up in South Australia, which is centrally located and has first class Manufacturing and Research Facilities.
The delegation will comprise of about 6 companies from Germany and Austria, mainly interested in Solar, Biomass and Wind Energy production.
The German / Austrian Business Council SA (GABCSA) is organising the Trade Mission both in Australia and in Europe and has had an overwhelming response from companies in Europe. "Having a wealth of knowledge and experience in European installations, these ,companies are keen to open up new markets and develop links with local companies to tap into these new markets." said Mr Leo Gaggl, Vice Chairman German-Austrian Business Council of SA.
Interest from South Australian Companies has been positive and potential energy projects have shown a keen interest in becoming involved in the trade mission. Companies such as Beasley Hot Water, Pecan Engineering, Origin Energy and the like are looking to benefit from the visiting companies.
Scheduled in the same week as the close of the World Solar Challenge (Darwin to Adelaide), Energy SA's Energy Awareness week, the Energy Efficiency Trade Fair and the International Automotive Conference, it shows the commitment of South Australians to developing and promoting Renewable Energy.
The South Australian Government is keen to discuss business development with the group. Premier Mike Rann and Energy Minister Patrick Conlon will meet with the trade delegation to promote South Australia as a gateway into the Australian and Australasian marketplace.
A lot of German and Austrian companies have shown an expression of interest about the opportunities in South Australia.,
