From Research to Innovative Businesses - Workshop in Brussels

The agenda 2010 for a more competitive Europe targets annual RTD expenses at 3% of GDP (Barcelona European Council, 2002). More research and innovation in Europe's SMEs is a major success factor with a high leverage effect to achieve these strategic goals.

The conditions required to overcome the present substantial finance gap for SME-related research and innovation have been analysed in a recent EC-supported project: publi-private partnership in financing innovation, tailored funding schemes and easy access through excellent regional gateways are key words from the findings. These issues will be discussed in workshop hosted by the European Commission.
The workshop "From Research to Innovative Businesses: public-private partnerships to increase Europe's competitiveness" takes place at CONFERENCE CENTRE ALBERT BORSCHETTE, Rue Froissart 36, B-1040 Brussels - Belgium on November 7th 2003.
