Best Practices in Science Based Incubators

In 2002 Science Alliance organised the international conference Best Practices in Science Based Incubators in The Hague, The Netherlands. This conference together with the awarding of the Best Science Based Incubator 2002 was a memorable event with 150 participants from 25 countries.

11 December 2003 - 12 December 2003
Netherlands
On 11 and 12 December Science Alliance organises a follow-up by organising the conference Best Practices in Science Based Incubators 2003 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The central theme of the 2003 event will be towards self sustainability. Opinions of experts on the need and feasibility of self sustainable incubators differ substantially. Some believe it is impossible to introduce a profitable or even a not for profit incubator model due to the costs of for example high tech laboratories and other facilities. Other experts believe that on the long term an incubator might become profitable, dependent on the chosen structure and tenants
During the conference Best Practices in Science Based Incubators 2003 experts on incubation models will debate about different internationally used models, the perspectives of the different stakeholders and the possibilities to create a self sustainable incubator.
