A seminar on the work of environment centres in environmental conservation and education will be held in Linz, Austria, from 4 to 8 October 1998. The seminar will be jointly organized by the Bundesrealgymnasium and the Pedagogic Academy in Linz, with support from the Linz regional government.
The aim of the seminar is to look at cooperation among environment centres, the problems they face as part of their work, and the extent to which new communication technologies are being used. In this context, the MEET (Multimedia, Environmental Education and Training) project, partly funded by DG XI of the European Commission, will be followed up.
The seminar will provide input into the production of a book, documenting the plurality of works being performed on the ground by European environment centres today.
