3rd European Congress on Economics and Management of Energy in Industry

Taking place in Estoril-Lisbon, Portugal, on 6-9 April 2004, this 3rd European Congress on Economics and Management of Energy in Industry follows upon two very successful Congresses in the same subjects which were also held in Portugal in 1984 and 1994. These attracted Delegates from over 30 countries and more than 100 papers were presented in each one.

Objectives ,The objective of the Congress is to promote a greater understanding of the Economics and Management of Energy in Industry through analysis, systems modelling, information exchange and the advancement of energy technology. The Congress Programme, which will reflect these objectives, will consist of the following major elements: KEYNOTE PAPERS which will be delivered by internationally recognized authorities; GENERAL PAPERS which will de presented in oral or poster sessions.
Call for Papers ,Authors wishing to present papers can still submit extended abstracts of about 1500 words stating clearly and concisely the purpose of the paper, the method of approach, significant results and conclusions. The names and affiliations of all Authors should be included. The extended abstract should be forwarded by 30 January 2004 to Prof. Albino Reis at e-mail: ecemei@mail.telepac.pt. It will be necessary to produce the final papers in English in camera-ready format and these will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
107 abstracts have been accepted so far (from 35 countries) and over 180 people have indicated their intention to attend the Conference.
