A European conference on wind energy will be held in Nice, France, from 1 to 5 March 1999 with support from the French Agence de l'Environnement et de la Maîtrise de l'Energie (ADEME), Electricité de France (EDF) and the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA).

The conference will be the first bringing together the previous series of European Union wind energy conferences, last held in Gothenburg in 1996, and the European wind energy conferences organized by the EWEA, last held in Dublin in 1997.
