First European Workshop on Model Driven Architecture - Call for Participation

First European Workshop on Model Driven Architecture with Emphasis on Industrial Application. March 17-18, 2004. University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands.

17 March 2004 - 18 March 2004

Organised by IST projects MASTER and MODA-TEL in cooperation with the University of Twente.
The Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is an approach to IT systems development fostered by the Object Management Group (OMG). It is based on the separation between the specification of the systems' essential functionality and the implementation of these systems using specific implementation platforms. MASTER and MODA-TEL are two EU-funded research projects with the goal of further developing the concepts of MDA to apply them to industrial sectors such as air traffic management and telecommunications.
The purpose of the workshop is to exchange experiences on the use of MDA by the industry and to create new ideas to improve MDA and spread its use. The workshop is open to users of the MDA technology and developers of MDA support (technology, methodologies and tools), focusing on but not limited to areas such as telecommunications, air traffic management, and enterprise modelling.
Two renowned keynote speakers will present their latest insights at the workshop:
* Dr. Richard Soley: OMG Chairman and CEO.,* Prof. Rolv Braek: Professor at the Department of Telematics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
All attendees will receive the proceedings of the workshop.
