Technology transfer and innovation conference 2004

The Technology Transfer and Innovation Conference (tti2004), to be held in Edinburgh from 29th June to 1st July, will provide a unique insight into the challenges of the knowledge economy. Speakers from government, industry and research will explore the opportunities presented by changing business, social and regulatory environments, and present strategies to seize them.

The three day conference is organised by Technology Transfer and Innovation Ltd and backed by, amongst others, the DTI, Scottish Executive and Scottish Enterprise. Opened by Jim Wallace, Deputy First Minister and Minister for Enterprise and Lifelong Learning, the conference will address three dominant issues facing businesses competing in a knowledge economy:
· Market needs and knowledge development,· The challenge of exploiting knowledge,· Business in a changing environment
In addressing these issues, and many others, tti2004 will draw on the latest thinking from around the world in a series of workshop sessions. These sessions will offer valuable networking opportunities, providing individuals and organisations with a unique opportunity to share knowledge and highlight best practice.
