Training course: The Fundamentals of International Project Management

The Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe organises a training course on The Fundamentals of International Project Management in cooperation with EARMA (European Association of Research Managers and Administrators). The event will take place in Karlsruhe, Germany, 27-28 September 2004.

International project management skills are essential to managers, administrators, scientists and engineers. The course is based on the international long-term experience of the tutor, Prof. Dr. Madauss. He delivers the theoretical background, management tools, specific skills and tells you how to cope with changes or problems that may occur once a project has started. All course topics are illustrated through successful international projects.
The aim of the course is to provide knowledge and skills, project managers and project staff needs to know in order to run their projects efficiently. Participants will have the opportunity to focus on their own projects.

Date: 27-28 September 2004 ,Course fee: 850 EUR. The fee includes a one-year EARMA-membership worth 100 EURO. EARMA members pay only 750 EURO.,Venue: Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Town Office, Weberstrasse 5, 76133 Karlsruhe
The course fee includes handouts, beverages and lunches. Participants are asked to pay the hotel bill on their own (76 EUR per night - bed/breakfast).
Course Tutor: ,Prof. Bernd Madauss, PhD, MBA ,graduated in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration and holds a PhD in International Management. His latest assignment at SES ASTRA was Senior Program Manager of the ASTRA satellite fleet. At present he is Managing Director of the Project Management Team (PMT) in Germany.
Prof. Madauss has got over 35 years experience in international project management including risk management within Europe and the USA. He worked for organisations such as MBB, ESA and SES. He also lectures at universities in Germany, Holland, France and the United States and is well experienced in delivering training courses.
