The Venture Academy:,For innovative entrepreneurs active in ICT or biotech/life sciences or any other emerging technology areas; seeking a new equity round in the coming year; having high growth potential and looking for international expansion; are eager to get into contact with an international investors network; are interested in benchmarking against other growth companies.

The Venture Academy® is an effective, highly interactive one-day event where entrepreneurs are prepared for meetings and negotiations with venture capital or corporate investors.
You will:,-receive direct feedback on the strategic strengths, weaknesses & objectives of your venture ,-gain insight into how venture capitalists and other investors would perceive your business presentation and investment proposal ,-focus on your venture from an international perspective ,-build relations with other top entrepreneurs and advisors ,-sharpen your company presentation to potential investors and partners ,-practice your presentation skills and methods
Who will participate in the Venture Academy®? ,Between 20 to 25 innovative growth companies ,8 to 12 external coaches who will review your venture from a shareholder perspective ,facilitated by Europe Unlimited moderators ,Who are the coaches? ,4 to 6 Independent coaches : professionals able to personally provide advisory service ,Venture capital managers ,Entrepreneurs ,Advisors ,4 to 6 Advisory coaches from established advisory practices ,Consultants from larger or specialised consulting/accounting firms ,Head-hunters or interim managers ,M&A advisors or investment bankers , ,Programme:,Welcome and Introduction to the Venture Academy,09.15 "Venture Capital from an Entrepreneur Perspective"
09.35 "The Gate2Growth initiative" -
10.00 10.00 Elevator Pitches,Having had an overview of the VC perspective, each entrepreneur will make a one-minute 'elevator pitch' of their venture. The goal of the 'elevator pitch' is simple: generate interest in the company and make a potential investor want to learn more about the company and investment proposition. , ,11.15 Coaching Sessions,Each entrepreneur will make an 8-minute presentation introducing the company and its fund-raising objectives, followed by 7 minutes of evaluation: fellow entrepreneurs and coaches provide feedback on the strengths & weaknesses of the presentation while the presenting entrepreneur takes notes to improve the presentation in the next round.,Presenting entrepreneurs are divided in groups of 8 presenters max . Expert coaches will participate in each group .
14.00 Individual Coaching Sessions: preparation and revision of the presentations,Entrepreneurs and coaches work together to address the issues raised in the feedback received following their presentations.
15.30 Coaching Sessions,Each entrepreneur makes second 8-minute presentation, followed by Q&A and feedback. Each coach and entrepreneur in the room will be asked to 'assume the role of a potential investor' and decide if they would invest in the business or not, providing the reasons for their decision. Participants will be invited to 'play the game' and invest real money!, ,17.45 General wrap-up and Evaluation - Prize,Each group will vote for the best in their group, then there will be a fun/run off elevator pitch for the elected ventures with a prize.,
