Briefing with Mr. Ramon Marimon on The new Instruments of FP6

The ERRIN secretariat is organising a briefing session with Professor Marimon. Mr. Ramon Marimon, Spanish Secretary of State between 2000 and 2002 and chair of a high level expert panel charged with carrying out a mid-term evaluation of the new instruments introduced for the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6), presented the panel's findings to the informal Competitiveness Council on 3 July. The report contains a number of recommendations on the Integrated Projects and Networks of Excellence, some of which can be implemented in FP6, and some of which should be introduced in FP7., ,In a communication and working document, the Commission reacts to each individual recommendation, often underlining that it is aware of problems and has taken moves to tackle them. The paper also outlines corrective measures planned in the future. , ,Mr Marimon has accepted to give a short briefing-questions /answers session to the ERRIN members. Moreover has Mr. Marimon scheduled a meeting with the Commissioner for Research immediately after our briefing, this will present an excellent opportunity to give your views on this important subject.,
