Info-day on NEST programme and brokerage event on NEST-PATHFINDER

Relevant information about the NEST programme will be presented in the event, in particular the coming calls "FP6-2004-NEST-C" and "FP6-2004-NEST-PATH" that will be launched in November/December 2004. Furthermore, a presentation of success stories will help the potential proposers to elaborate their proposals.
In the afternoon, participants will be devided in 4 parallel sessions: three of them for PATHFINDER initiatives (Synthetic Biology, What it means to be human, Measuring the impossible) and the other one for NEST OPEN activities.
The purpose of each session is to present all participant's project ideas; a poster session will follow where participants will have the possibility of contacting both Scientific Officers and NEST NCPs.
In order to prepare and organise the event according to your expectations, you are kindly invited to use the online pre-registration procedure. The deadline for registering is the 16th of December 2004.

For further information on NEST please visit the NEST website on CORDIS: http://cordis.europa.eu/nestThe(opens in new window) NEST-IDEA project is a Specific Support Action (SSA) financed by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework Program, whose aim is to raise awareness and give support to the scientific community regarding the NEST initiative, helping to bring European research to the forefront.
The project is not trying to duplicate the Commission's efforts and activities (EoI, portal for partner searches, etc.), but it offers a complementary service to that of the Commission and its results could be used by the EC.
