AUTEX WORLD TEXTILE CONFERENCE

AUTEX stands for the Association of Universities for Textiles(http://www.autex.org(opens in new window)) grouping together universities with established international reputations in textile education and research (founded in 1994) and consists of members within Europe (within and outside the European Union) and beyond, including the USA. The association aims at playing a leading role in the future development of textile education and in basic, strategic and applied research.
The conference AUTEX 2005 will be an important forum for exchanging novelties between academics and experts in the field of textile engineering all over the world.
It aims to give an overview on advanced textile materials and corresponding environmental friendly technologies. Special topics are dedicated to textile education, textile design, fashion and style, as well as to e-activities and management in textile sector.
The conference programme consists of:
- Plenary session and keynote lectures,,- Series of parallel sessions dealing with specific topics,,- Forum on innovation in textiles: matching market pull with technology push, ,- Exhibition of equipment, products and literature.
