COSM'ING 98, a symposium on cosmetic ingredients will be held in Rennes, France, on 28 and 29 October 1998. The event is organized by CBB Développement (Centre de Biotechnologies en Bretagne).
The aim of the symposium is to provide a review of new cosmetic ingredients which have been developed in response to factors such as the BSE crisis, the renewed interest in natural products, cosmetic legislation and recent technological progress.
The symposium will feature four workshops, covering the following topics:
- Substitution of animal products by analogues;
- Marine ingredients;
- Biocosmetics, including microbial engineering and enzymatic engineering;
- Cosmetics and additives.
